BoS Business Awards

BoS Award Winners 2016
Who tops the list for Customer Service in IP17?

Following the success of our 2014 Business Awards, we once again went in search of the best Customer Service in the IP17 area. This time we had two categories: Business of the Year and an Individual Award for the person who goes above and beyond expectations.

Our Panel of Judges (including Lady Cranbrook and Miles Beasley of our sponsors Waitrose) chose the winners from the top five in each category, ranked according to number of votes. The winners were presented with their awards at the BoS Summer Party, which took place on the evening of Wednesday 22nd June in the grounds of Bruisyard Hall.

After a welcome Pimm’s, Heathcote and Hare created a delicious meal of burgers and salads. At the same time the guests could partake of a wine and cheese tasting, supplied and served by a knowledgeable team from Waitrose.

Peter Ewart, Chairman, welcomed everyone and thanked Paul Rous and his team at Bruisyard Hall for the splendid evening.

Scott Russell (Paddy & Scott’s) and Miles Beasley (Waitrose) then took over the proceedings. This year’s BoS Customer Service Awards generated a huge amount of interest and enthusiasm. There were 28 businesses nominated from the IP17 area.

The Business Individual of the Year, was won by Karen Baker of Trinity’s at No. 14.

Karen, part owner of Trinity's is such a great hostess.  When you pop into Trinity's she always makes you feel 'at home' with a smile and a friendly welcome.  And even remembers which cake is my favourite!

The other finalists were presented with certificates: Janene Hawkins from Heavenly Hair Styling; Sam Martin and Rachel Newton both from Angels Beauty Clinic; and Peter Ewart from Persell Ewart.

The winner of the Business of the Year was Angels Beauty Clinic.

One of their many happy customers said:

Fantastic range of services. Incredibly welcoming and professional therapists.  Excellent service, appointments run on time and extended opening hours offer plenty of flexibility. What's not to like? I have been a client for 9 years and was always impressed with the salon but over the past 12-18 months it has gone from strength to strength. Well done Sam for leading such a great team!

In this category, the other finalists were: Trinity’s at No. 14; Heavenly Hair Styling; The Store and in fifth equal place with the same number of votes were Jackey L Jewellers; Jeffrey & Associates Opticians; Olive Dental Practice; Rade Digital and Persell Ewart.

Scott Russell said, “I am truly proud of Saxmundham and the businesses represented here tonight. It is really hard to win awards like these and the winners should be justly proud of their achievement.”

The lucky winner of the Waitrose vouchers was Deborah Dann of Saxmundham. Our huge thanks to Waitrose for being such great sponsors of the event.
