Saxmundham Town Council

The Saxmundham Town Council is committed to working for the residents of Saxmundham for the benefit of everybody who lives and works in the town.

At the AGM on 10th May a new Chairman, Cllr M. Palman was elected together with a new Vice Chairman, Cllr Mrs Marian Andrews. The Town Council gets involved with decisions about such things as housing, roads, and amenities, as well as looking after footpaths and children's playgrounds.

It also provides small grants to local charities and groups and represents the town on several other committees concerning local businesses and crime prevention. The council, on behalf of the town, is an active participant in the 'Anglia in Bloom' scheme which brightens up our streets and shops during the summer months. We are looking for yearly sponsorship for our sinks at £30.00 that includes two seasonal plantings.

Hanging baskets will soon be enhancing our Town once more and cost £28.00 for an 18" basket. If you would like to sponsor these please contact the Town Clerk and assist us in making our Town look really beautiful.
