Three arrested following burglaries - Saxmundham and Kelsale
Three males have been arrested following two break-ins in the Saxmundham area in the early hours of this morning, Friday 11 February.
Police were initially contacted just before 2am this morning to reports of a burglary at premises in Carlton Road, Kelsale. A few minutes later officers received another call reporting a break-in at a home in Saxon Road in Saxmundham. Officers immediately attended and the three males - 17-year-old boy and two 21-year-old men, all from Saxmundham - were arrested a short time later.
All three are currently in custody at Lowestoft Police Station where they will be interviewed by officers.
Man arrested - Saxmundham
A 21-year-old Saxmundham man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis with intent to supply after police executed a drugs search warrant at an address in Mayflower Avenue yesterday afternoon, Thursday 10 February.
Officers from the Lowestoft and Ipswich Territorial Support Team carried out the warrant just after 4pm and recovered a quantity of cannabis. Other items including scales were also seized. The 21-year-old has now been bailed to return to Lowestoft Police Station on April 26 pending further enquiries.
Burglary - Carlton Colville
Someone gained entry to a garage and a shed at a home in Matlock Dale around 7.45pm yesterday, Thursday 10 February.
A male - described as around 6ft tall, wearing white shoes/ trainers, dark jogging/ tracksuit bottoms, a dark hooded top and a scarf partially over his face - was disturbed in the garage and fled. A search was made but it appears nothing was stolen.
